Roadtrip! Cody Marching Band Travels to Ohio for Battle of the Bands!
The Cody High School Marching Band is continuing to make music across the country! On Sunday, August 13th the Band traveled to Dayton, OH to perform in the Midwest Showdown Battle of the Bands.
Marching bands from across the country showed up and entertained at the Welcome Stadium. This was an all out battle between HBCU Bands and High School Bands. The High Schools that performed were separated in 3 rounds. Cody was in Round 1. Video footage from the amazing performance is available for all to see on Youtube: ( https://youtu.be/RCmatFkeqTo?si=jAf9xgJrmZb9Dj4M )
The Cody High School Marching Band began 3 years ago under the direction of Damian Lyles. The students have since performed at numerous events and have even traveled to Atlanta, GA. We are proud of our band and excited to have them represent Cody High School all over.
