9th Grade at Cody
The first year of High School is unforgettable.  It is a year filled with new classes, a new school and tons of new people, teachers, staff and students.  This year the 9th Grade class at Cody High School will be making history as the last 9th grade class to walk the halls of the original Cody High School building.  Beginning in August 2027 students entering Cody High will be entering through new doors only steps away from the original building that was built and opened in 1952, 74 Years later students are still walking the halls located at 18445 Cathedral in Detroit, MI 48228.
We took the time to ask three of our freshman how they felt about Cody High School so far.  Here’s what they had to say.
“So far my freshman year has been a great experience because I’ve been able to meet new people, experience new things and get use to High School.” – Har’mony Shaw
“I like it so far, it’s cool, it’s fun.  People here are nice people.  A lot of things to do here, oh and they make sure you get your work done so you don’t got to hurry and get it done.” – Kimaya Williams
“What I like about being a freshman is having a fresh new start.  Everything that happened in Middle School stays there.” – Jakayla Miles
